Original and translation, side by side
Read the public-domain Hebrew of the Tanakh next to a Spanish (and English) translation, in a column built for long, comfortable reading. Nothing is paraphrased; the original stays exactly as it is.
Miqra is a reverent reader for the Tanakh — the Hebrew Scriptures, presented faithfully, the original alongside a translation. Ask a question in plain language and Miqra surfaces the passages that relate to it. The concordance runs entirely on your device, and it never interprets, paraphrases, or invents a single word. It shows you the text. The reading is yours.
Miqra is built by KhassinX, an independent studio for privacy-first Apple platform apps.

The whole Tanakh — Torah, Nevi'im, and Ketuvim. Move between books and chapters instantly, keep your place, and return to where you left off.
Miqra tells you which edition you are reading. The Hebrew is the masoretic text (Westminster Leningrad Codex); the translation is public-domain, attributed plainly. No silent edits, no harmonizing of differing readings.
This is the heart of Miqra. You can ask in your own words — "passages about refuge," "where the covenant is renewed" — and Miqra brings back the verses that relate to your question. It is a concordance, not a commentary.
The search understands meaning, not just matching words, so related passages come to the surface even when they share no exact phrase. Every result is the literal text of the Tanakh — verbatim.
Miqra does not explain, summarize, paraphrase, or generate scripture. There is no generative model writing about the text. It points you to passages; what they mean is yours to read and to study.
The concordance uses Apple's on-device natural-language model. Your questions and your reading never leave your device to reach us or any third party. It works offline.
Miqra has no servers and no analytics. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. The App Privacy Label reads "Data Not Collected" because nothing is.
Your questions, searches, reading position, bookmarks, and notes live only on your device. No accounts, no sign-in, no tracking, no third-party SDKs.
Miqra is offered pro bono — free, with no ads and no tracking. An optional tip jar lets you support the work if you wish. There is no paywall on the text.
Miqra is designed for each device, not stretched to fit. Read on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. Available in English and Spanish (Spain and Latin America) at launch.
